The main specifications of the watch.
SW200-1.
The Épure uses the Sellita SW200-1, an automatic mechanical movement with 26 jewels and a 41-hour power reserve. It provides hours, minutes, seconds, and date functions.
Wear it normally.
The movement winds as the watch is worn. Wrist movement powers the automatic winding system and keeps energy in the mainspring.
Wind it first.
If the watch has stopped, gently wind the crown in its normal position before setting the time and date.
Using the watch.
The crown controls winding, date setting, and time setting.
With the crown in its normal position, turn it clockwise gently to wind the movement. If the watch has stopped, give it an initial wind before wearing it.
Move the crown to the date-setting position and advance the date. Do not use the quick-set date while the movement is changing the date around midnight. If unsure, move the hands away from midnight first.
Move the crown to the time-setting position and turn it to set the hands. The movement includes a stop-seconds function for precise setting.
Return the crown fully to its normal position when finished. Never expose the watch to water with the crown pulled out.
If it feels unusually stiff, loose, rough, or difficult to move, stop and have the watch inspected.
Basic care.
Simple care is enough for normal ownership.

Keep it clean.
Wipe the case and steel strap with a soft, clean cloth. Keep the crown and case dry and do not use abrasive cleaners.
10 ATM.
The Épure is rated to 10 ATM water resistance. The crown must be fully closed before water exposure.
Check the crown.
Make sure the crown is fully in its normal position. Never operate the crown while the watch is wet or underwater.
Have it checked.
A significant impact can affect the case or seals. If the watch takes a serious hit, avoid water exposure until it has been inspected.
When to have it checked.
Have the watch inspected if its performance or operation changes.
- Timekeeping changes suddenly
- The power reserve drops noticeably
- The crown feels abnormal
- The date does not change properly
- You see condensation under the crystal
- The watch receives a serious impact
Use a qualified watchmaker.
For repair, regulation, cleaning, or water-resistance testing, use ÉCHELLE HOROLOGER or a qualified watchmaker familiar with the SW200-1.
One year.
The original purchaser is covered for one year from the date of purchase against defects in materials and workmanship.
This warranty applies to the Épure 38 and covers the watch as a whole, subject to the terms below.
01 · Warranty period
The warranty is valid for one year from the original date of purchase. It applies to the original purchaser and is not transferable.
02 · What is covered
The warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship affecting the watch, including qualifying defects in the movement, case, crown, crystal, dial, hands, and other factory-installed components.
03 · Warranty repair
If ÉCHELLE HOROLOGER determines that a problem is covered, the watch will be repaired at no charge for the covered repair work. The warranty provides repair service and does not provide a free replacement watch.
04 · Shipping
The customer will not pay shipping for an approved warranty repair when the watch is sent using the shipping instructions provided by ÉCHELLE HOROLOGER. Shipping and repair costs for non-warranty service are the customer's responsibility.
05 · Not covered
- Normal wear and tear
- Scratches, dents, and cosmetic damage
- Accidental damage, drops, or impacts
- Damage caused by misuse or improper handling
- Damage caused by chemicals, solvents, or similar substances
- Damage caused by unauthorized opening, repair, modification, or regulation
- Damage caused by aftermarket parts or modifications not approved by ÉCHELLE
- Water damage resulting from use inconsistent with the 10 ATM rating or from an improperly closed crown
- Loss or theft
06 · Water resistance
Water resistance can change with age, impact, or seal deterioration. Water-related warranty claims may require inspection of the case, crown, and seals.
07 · Mechanical accuracy
Mechanical watches naturally vary in timekeeping. A watch gaining or losing time does not automatically mean there is a warranty defect. ÉCHELLE may inspect and regulate the movement when appropriate.
08 · Warranty claims
Contact ÉCHELLE HOROLOGER through the official website and provide proof of purchase and a description of the issue when requested. Do not send the watch until shipping instructions have been provided.
09 · Inspection
Every returned watch is inspected before repair. If the issue is not covered, ÉCHELLE may provide a repair estimate before chargeable work is performed.
10 · Legal rights
This warranty is subject to applicable law and does not remove any rights that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
It started on a plane.
The Épure dial started as a quick sketch I made on a plane. I kept working on it until that sketch became the dial on the finished watch. It's the first dial I designed, so this one is especially personal to me.
